An art competition for finding pieces of art work for the new exhibition hall is finished. The winner is Jevgeni Zolotko with his work „Tootemipuud“.

8 layouts came in and the panel choose 3 prize-winners. The purpose of the competition was to find an art piece which opens the idea of the new exhibition in the best way.

Jevgeni Zolotko´s work could be an introduction of the exhibition and it helps the visitors to create wholeness between 3 parts of the exhibition  hall. „3 sculptures will be made of 3 old internal combustion engine casings to illustrate the conception of the exhibition – supremacy of machines. The totem tree built of engines represents with airy irony our respect and dependence on these machines,“ the artist opened the ideas of his project.

The cost of the winning work is 14000 euros and will be completed in May 2019.

On the 15th of February in the Estonian Road museum presentation of the new exhibition and prize winners´ works will take place.
