The detour to the Museum is marked with traffic signs

Ihmarus Sild

Summer is a busy time for road construction, maintenance and reconstruction, because unfortunately we live in a climate zone where this can only be done in the summer.
We would like to inform you that as many as two bridges on Postitee (acient post road between Tartu and Võru) are closed, and the third will be closed later.

The Ihamaru bridge is closed for those coming to our museum from Tartu (15.05 to 15.08.2023) and the Mustajõe bridge for those coming from Võru (15.05 to 15.07.2023).

The Karilatsi bridge is planned to be closed to traffic from 15.06 to 15.08.2023.

In case of road closures, general traffic diversion schemes have been drawn up and major destinations such as Põlva and Võru have been marked, but the Estonian Road Museum will also receive diversion signs.

The label looks like this:

  Ymbersõit

The general scheme is that we can get from Tartu either through Põlva by the Kanepi-Leevaku road, or by turning from Kanepi at the Erastvere cross via Puskaru. These turnings are also beautifully marked by the Transport Authority.
We recommend using the WAZE app on your phones and TARK TEE directions, as there is the most up-to-date information on detours.

We hope that the museum will not be found this year - we are firmly in our place and look forward to your visit.
