On the 20th July at 12 o’clock a new permanent exposition is opened for visitors in Põlvamaa’s number one culture station: the Estonian Road Museum.
The winner work of the art competition – a sculpture group of three compositions – is ready. Totem trees, the original road guides are placed in front of the entrances of the new machine hall. The author of the sculptures in Jevgeni Zolodko.
10 Soviet times motorbikes produced 1947 – 1971 are exhibited in the Estonian Road museum during the summer season. Almost all the models of that period in the Soviet Union are represented.
On Saturday night the Estonian Road Museum will open 2 exhibitions about the journeys to the Song Festivals during 150 years.
Opening of the summer season on May 4 in the Estonian Road Museum is dedicated to the first Song Festival in 1869. Different carriages and vehicles which have carried participators of the song festivals will align in the inner yard.
In connection with Easter holidays museum is closed on Good Friday 19 April.
On 20 and 21 April museum is open as usual 11.00-17.00.
